NICU RN Job Details – Atlanta, GA

Location : Atlanta, GA 30329 (Georgia nursing jobs)

Healthcare Setting : Level IV / Surgical Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Assignment Type : Travel nursing contract

Start Date : December 15, 2025

End Date : March 15, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a), weekend block (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,990 - $2,050 per week

NICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Georgia or compact state)

Minimum 2 years of recent NICU nursing experience required

Level IV / Surgical NICU experience strongly preferred

PALS certification required

NRP certification preferred

Willingness to float to other departments and cross campus to sister NICU as needed

Availability to work either Christmas Day or the day before / after

Nicotine-free facility (testing required)

Flu vaccine required (no exceptions)

NICU RN Responsibilities

Deliver specialized nursing care to neonates with complex diagnoses including CDH, MAS, NEC, TEF / EA, abdominal wall defects, BPD, pulmonary hypertension, and perioperative conditions

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care

Float to other units and campuses as needed to support clinical operations

Maintain strict compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards

Participate in holiday and weekend scheduling as required
