ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking multiple Aerospace Manufacturing Engineers for our top aerospace client located in Kent, WA. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in manufacturing engineering to support production in a highly regulated environment.

You will be responsible for reviewing aircraft vehicles, establishing and maintaining the build plans, creating and updating work orders and instructions to guide productions, and assisting with the resolution of non-conformances and implementation of corrective actions.

Standard Operations Creation

  • Develop and release standard work order operations in line with authoring standards, primarily supporting vehicle integration (with potential expansion into other areas).
  • Tasks will be tracked in Jira, Teams, and Excel, with participation in weekly status meetings.

Build Planning & Precedence

  • Update and manage technical precedence for future builds using engineering resources (CAD models, drawings, BOMs).
  • Perform data analysis to define part installation order, capture operational requirements (location, facility needs, and other considerations), and establish precedence links in Jules.
  • Parts & Tools Operation Updates

  • Revise released work orders to include parts and tools at the operation level for clearer production guidance.
  • Responsibilities include reviewing the manufacturing BOM to assign consumed parts to specific operations, identifying and adding special tools, and incorporating redline updates into work orders.
  • Review Checklists

  • Support standardized drawings and review checklists to inform future engineering releases.
  • Production Support

  • Provide production floor support for vehicle systems integration, including resolving technician build issues, reviewing and redlining drawings / work orders, coordinating part substitutions and assisting with non-conformance resolutions
  • ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience
  • Knowledge of aerospace vehicle systems integration procedures in one or more of the following areas : System and component installation, fastening, fay sealing, drilling, hydraulic systems, high- and low-pressure gas systems and tubing, hazardous gas systems, mechanical and structural, avionics and sensors, and system testing
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications.
  • Proficiency with Creo, Creo View, Creo Illustrate, Windchill, Jira, MS Teams, and Office.
  • Ability to read and interpret Bills of Materials, production work instructions, engineering drawings, and tooling process specifications.
  • Aerospace industry experience preferred
