Job descriptionProvide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and company protocols. Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to company and client protocols. Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions or incidents at the location. Interact professionally with visitors, staff, and / or the public while upholding Allied Universal standards. Carry and handle assigned firearms responsibly, following all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. Document observations, incidents, and activities in a timely and accurate manner as required by site and company procedures. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military roles. Possess an active armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. Security Officer - Armed Correctional Site
As a Security Officer - Armed Correctional Site - Evening Shift in Polkton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.
As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols, remaining highly visible to support a positive atmosphere, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. This is an armed and driving position, where your professionalism and commitment to Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, innovation, and teamwork will be essential to your success.

What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
