Forklift Operator

As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for transporting raw materials between the warehouse and production floor using forklifts and electric pallet jacks. You should be confident in operating this equipment safely and efficiently. Your role also includes wrapping and palletizing products, loading and unloading trailers, and verifying and tagging finished goods.

Responsibilities include :

• Transporting raw materials between the warehouse and production floor using forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
• Operating sit-down propane forklifts in a warehouse setting.
• Wrapping and palletizing products for shipment.
• Loading and unloading trailers efficiently.
• Verifying and tagging finished goods accurately.
• Performing inventory counts and managing materials of varying weights.

Work environment : Work in a warehouse and production floor environment that is not climate-controlled, generally warmer than outside due to running machines. Join a team of about 6 within a larger plant of around 110 employees. The shift is Monday to Friday, 7am-3 : 30pm for forklift operators, and 6 : 45am-3 : 15pm for material handlers.

Job type & location : This is a contract to hire position based out of Hagerstown, Maryland. Pay range for this position is $18.00-$22.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
