Job descriptionProvide comprehensive care in Hematology and Oncology Handle a small number of hospital consults annually Participate in a 1 in 4 on-call rotation, primarily via phone or virtual Engage with patients and provide follow-up consultations as needed Use Epic EMR system to document and manage patient information Must be board certified in Medical Oncology Required to have recent experience in Hematology / Oncology Must hold a valid North Carolina medical license Certifications needed : Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities Whether you need long term coverage for your practice, short term vacation coverage, or anything in between – you can trust Barton Associates to provide the flexible staffing solutions your organization needs to thrive. About The Position
We are seeking a Hematology / Oncology Physician for a 160-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This opportunity begins on Jan 5, 2026, and features a primarily outpatient-based schedule from Monday to Thursday, 8a-5p, and Friday, 8a-12p. The Physician will participate in a light on-call rotation, mainly handling phone and virtual consultations.
