Credit & Collections Analyst
We are seeking a Credit & Collections Analyst to join a growing finance team in Leesburg, VA. This role will be responsible for monitoring accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of customer payments, reconciling accounts, and supporting accurate financial records. The analyst will collaborate with sales, operations, and customer service teams to resolve disputes and maintain strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities include :
- Monitor and collect payments from assigned customers in line with established terms.
- Complete daily worklists following company collections strategies.
- Reconcile customer accounts and document collection activity.
- Identify and escalate unresolved disputes, high-risk accounts, or significant collection issues.
- Perform credit risk assessments of new and existing customers.
- Partner with internal teams (Sales, Operations, Customer Service) to release / hold orders as needed.
- Maintain documentation to support AR transactions and audits.
- Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and financial regulations.
Qualifications :
Associate's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (required).2+ years of credit and collections experience.Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis.ERP system experience required (JD Edwards preferred, but others acceptable).Knowledge of cash application laws and regulations.Ability to negotiate with customers and resolve collection issues.Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills; adaptable and collaborative.Medical device or life sciences industry experience a plus.Additional Details :
