Responsibilities

Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies.

Ensure sterile environment by maintaining and monitoring aseptic techniques.

Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Contribute to achieving departmental targets and goals.

Prepare operating rooms with necessary equipment and supplies before surgery.

Collaborate with surgical team to ensure patient safety and care.

Adhere to hospital policies and procedures for surgical operations.

Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding surgical procedures.

Monitor and track surgical instruments and supplies inventory.

Document surgical procedures and patient information accurately.

Provide post-operative care and support to patients as needed.

Evaluate and improve surgical processes for efficiency and effectiveness.

Experience / Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required for eligibility.

Proficiency in aseptic techniques and sterile field management.

Demonstrable commitment to ongoing professional development.

Minimum 2 years experience in surgical tech role preferred.

Strong communication skills for effective patient and family interaction.

Competence in documenting surgical procedures accurately.

Ability to collaborate effectively with surgical team members.

Experience in inventory management for surgical instruments.

Ability to provide post-operative care and support to patients.

Strong analytical skills to evaluate and improve surgical processes.
