Job Description :We are looking for passionate and credentialed Lead Teachers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a team player, creative, punctual, professional, and coachable. They will lead their classroom with vision, organization, and commitment. The candidate should be energetic and possess strong knowledge of GELDS (Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards), domains, and strands, and must be able to create developmentally appropriate lessons.
Responsibilities :Create and follow developmentally appropriate lesson plans to engage and inspire young scholars.Maintain a clean and tidy classroom environment.Assess students quantitatively and qualitatively as needed.Provide recommendations and student support when necessary.Collaborate effectively with colleagues to create a warm, welcoming, and safe environment conducive to learning.Utilize the curriculum goals and objectives to assist the lead and assistant teacher in developing lesson plans to support the early learning standards and include educational experiences in Language / Literacy, Math, Science, Social Studies, Creative (Music, Art and Drama), Social & Emotional, and Physical Development .Work as a team member to meet the needs of the children enrolled in each classroom.Develop individual relationships with children by providing care that is responsive attentive, consistent, comforting, supportive, and culturally sensitive.Assist in activities that relate to the weekly studies and extend on what they know about each students interest and their families.Implement family style meals, sit and eat with children, and engage them in conversation.When appropriate participate in open communication with parents.Ensure that the classroom environment is being kept clean and organized in accordance to program goals and philosophy.Keep all appropriate records and documentation that is required in order to maintain a safe environment in each classroom.Daily assignments may include coverage for other staff during breaks and planning time, cleaning toys and other classroom equipment, clean common areas such as bathrooms, and outdoor play areas, removing garbage, inventory supplies, organize art and supplies cabinets.Maintain a safe and healthy environmentArrange the learning environment to support learning content areas and ITERS and ECERS criteria.Qualifications :Possess one or more of the following credentials :Child Development Associate (CDA)Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC)Technical College Diploma (TCD)Associate DegreeAccredited degree from a 4-year institutionStrong knowledge of GELDS, domains, and strands.Experience in creating developmentally appropriate lessons.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Ideal Candidate Traits :Team playerCreativePunctualProfessionalCoachableVisionary leader in the classroomWell-organized and committedEnergeticBenefits :Paid holidaysPaid vacationMedical benefits401KFull tuition assistanceFlexible schedulesPerformance incentivesAnd moreHow to Apply :If you are passionate about early childhood education and meet the qualifications listed above, we would love to hear from you.
