Warehouse Associate

Job Summary: The Warehouse Associate performs routine duties related to processing food, staging and order picking.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• 
  Pack boxes and manage volunteers.
• 
  Assist with record keeping
• 
  Inspect items and discard defective product
• 
  Follow first in and first out priority system of distribution
• 
  Assist with record keeping associated with freezer/cooler
• 
  Maintain and sanitize appropriate warehouse areas
• 
  Able to work weekends or extended hours
• 
  Assist in outreach or pantry distributions
• 
  Operate warehouse equipment in a safe manner, pallet jack, forklift, etc.
• 
  Work in all types of weather conditions
• 
  Stand and sort product.
• 
  Pulling and verifying agency orders
• 
  Assist in inventory control
  
• Ability to travel to Midland or surrounding areas if needed
• 
  Comply with health regulations and other laws that govern food handling.
• 
  Manage time efficiently and work independently with minimal supervision
• 
  Truck loading and unloading
• 
  Ability to lift, pull, and push over 50 lbs.
• 
  May perform other duties as assigned.
• Schedule consists of working 8-8 twice a week, 8-5 the other days.

Qualifications:

• 
  High school diploma or Ged
• 
  Warehouse experience
• 
  Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred
• 
  Food handlers certificate
• 
  High level of personal integrity and honesty
• 
  Good verbal and written communication skills
• 
  Must pass a background check
• 
  Valid Driver License
