Responsibilities Work in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) setting Common patient diagnoses include respiratory failure, kidney failure, COPD, CHF, and myocardial infarction Nurse-to-patient ratio is 2 : 1 12-hour night shifts, three shifts per week Floating to other campuses, PCU units, and ED Hold is required, with travelers prioritized for floating Epic EMR is used in the unit Travelers are expected to function as core staff and integrate with unit culture Scrub color required : Galaxy Blue or White No block scheduling or on-call requirements Holiday coverage may be required as scheduled First day orientation is remote and nurses must be in the area on Friday for badge / ID pickup All requests for time off must be submitted prior to offer for consideration Requirements Active FL or compact RN license required Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Nursing degree from an accredited program or 5 years of experience required Prior travel nursing experience preferred References must include one from the past year and one that may be older DL address must match address on Board of Nursing Must live at least 50 miles from the facility and not own or cosign any property within the 50 mile radius Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-630569.
