Job Location : Nordic Valley Resort - Eden, UT

Position Type : Seasonal

Salary Range : Undisclosed

Description

Ski Patrol monitors the mountain, promoting a safe environment for guests and employees. Ski patrol provides first aid, rescue, and transport to those in need.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Respond to medical emergencies on the mountain, transporting injured guests off of the mountain.
  • Administer first aid, if necessary.
  • Assess and mitigate hazards and safety concerns within the Resort ski area.
  • Maintain Resort ski area signs, ropes, and padding.
  • Educate guests on proper conduct and safety measures.
  • Complete required paperwork and reports accurately and timely.
  • Perform sweeps at the end of the day to ensure that all guests and employees are safely off the mountain.
  • Special duties may include performing chair lift evacuations, search and rescue, and avalanche mitigation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Current CPR and EMT certification is required.
  • Must demonstrate advanced to expert skiing or snowboarding ability to safely navigate any area of the mountain in all weather and snow conditions
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have a strong work ethic and self-motivation.
  • Must work well with a team and collaborate with others regularly.
