National EV Director

The National EV Director is a newly created position designed to lead our EV Service Operations, which coordinates OWL's electric vehicle (EV) service business across all regions and divisions. This role will unify strategy, performance, and accountability to deliver consistent, scalable, and profitable EV service nationwide. A critical component of this position is driving the EV vision across OWL influencing how Sales, Operations, Safety, Training, and Support teams collaborate to meet customer and business objectives. This leader will manage the EV Service Department as a standalone business within OWL, with full P&L responsibility and significant cross-functional influence.
Responsibilities
Strategic Direction & Alignment
Define and execute the national EV service strategy to drive performance, standardization, and growth across all business units.
Champion a unified EV vision across Sales, Operations, Training, Safety, and Construction to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction.
Partner with executive and regional leaders to align goals, resource planning, and field readiness initiatives with overall company objectives.
Monitor market trends and emerging technologies to position OWL at the forefront of EV service and reliability.
Operational Excellence
Advocate for and align EV service standards across regional business units, ensuring consistent focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Standardize service processes, tools, and metrics to ensure consistent performance and accountability.
Lead KPI, SLA, and cost-performance management for EV services, working with business units to ensure regional operations align with national performance expectations.
Drive process improvements and continuous optimization across field operations and customer delivery.
Financial & P&L Management
Own the cost center for the National EV Service team and partner with each business unit.
In future-state, work with leaders to develop EV service budgets, forecasts, and cost-management practices.
Identify new revenue opportunities through service programs, maintenance contracts, and OEM partnerships.
Partner with Finance to maintain transparency, forecasting accuracy, and performance reporting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with Sales and Business Unit leaders to align service capabilities with customer commitments and new business opportunities.
Partner with the Training to ensure technician certification, readiness, and ongoing development.
Work closely with Safety and Compliance and all Business Units to maintain and elevate operational standards.
Coordinate with Construction, Procurement, and Program teams for seamless project transitions and field integration.
Customer & OEM Partnerships
Serve as the primary operational point of contact for OEM and national account relationships.
Ensure alignment on warranty programs, service expectations, and issue resolution.
Support contract renewals, RFP responses, and long-term partnership initiatives with key clients and manufacturers.
Qualifications
7+ years of leadership experience in field service, operations, or technical infrastructure management (EV or related industry preferred).
Strong operational and financial acumen, with demonstrated success driving performance improvement and standardization.
Skilled at building alignment and collaboration across diverse business units and teams.
Excellent communication, organizational, and change management skills.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field experience.
