About the Role

The Receptionist will serve as the point person for greeting and directing visitors and creating a welcoming experience, providing administrative and clerical support for various corps operations, including answering phone, typing and data entry, special projects, and seasonal activities.

Projects a positive, professional, compassionate image of The Salvation Army to the community, donors, board members, and others who have interactions with The Salvation Army.

Answers multi-line phone system and retrieves and routes voice mail messages.

Performs daily administrative functions of outgoing mail, writing receipts for donations, sorts and distributes mail.

Performs basic administrative functions for Social Services and Seasonal programs.

Assist with in-kind donations, record keeping and routing donations to correct areas.

Maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for people as they enter the building.

Update and maintain bulletin boards and magazine displays.

Supervises volunteers assigned to front desk.

Education : High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.

Certifications : Valid Driver's license with approval to drive from TSA's insurance carrier.

Experience : One year of receptionist experience is preferred.
