Job Title : Pest Control Technician

Job Summary :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Pest Control Technician to join our team. In this role, you will inspect properties, identify pest problems, and apply appropriate treatments to eliminate or prevent infestations. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, excellent customer service, and a commitment to safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities :

Inspect residential and commercial properties for signs of pests or infestations.

Identify the type of pest and determine the appropriate treatment plan.

Apply pesticides, traps, and other pest management techniques in accordance with safety regulations and company procedures.

Advise customers on preventive measures to avoid future pest issues.

Maintain accurate records of services provided, materials used, and customer interactions.

Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pesticide use.

Operate and maintain pest control equipment safely and effectively.

Communicate with clients to schedule appointments and follow up on service effectiveness.

Handle and store chemicals in accordance with safety protocols.

Participate in training and continuing education to stay updated on industry best practices.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or GED required.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

State pest control license or certification (or ability to obtain one).

Previous experience in pest control or a related field is a plus.

Strong knowledge of pest biology and control methods.

Ability to work independently and manage a route schedule.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical stamina to perform inspections and treatments, including lifting, bending, and climbing.

Working Conditions :

Work is performed in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings, including homes, businesses, and industrial sites.

May involve exposure to chemicals, insects, and varying weather conditions.

Use of protective gear and safety equipment is required.

Salary :

Commensurate with experience; may include bonuses or commission opportunities.

Schedule :

Full-time, Monday to Friday; some weekend or evening hours may be required.
