Seattle Veterinary Associates is locally owned by doctors that work in the practices. We've been a part of the community for over 50 years. We have a family of five locations in the greater Seattle area. We are currently hiring for our Ravenna Animal Hospital location just outside of University Village. Ravenna's LVT team members have been with us for 10-16 years each far exceeding the national average of a technician career span of just 5 to 7 years. We're aiming to improve patient care by adding another technician to our team. We are open to hiring either part or full time.
We pride ourselves on treating our team members with respect and trust. We are proud to welcome employees with diverse backgrounds and life experiences and are proud to be BIPOC and LBGTQIA safe work environments.
We are seeking a Veterinary Technician to work with doctors, staff, and clients to provide fear-free medical care for our canine and feline patients. We are specifically looking for a technician who has excellent people skills and a strong interest and willingness to perform dentistry one to two days a week including cleanings, x-rays, and extractions as needed under the supervision of our veterinarians. You do not need to know how to do these things, just be willing to learn. The other day(s) would be spent working with staff and seeing appointments. We do not have a surgery suite.
Our technicians are challenged to use their skills at a high level and to strive toward continuous learning. You can expect to perform all the skills outlined in the WAC. http : / / app.leg.wa.gov / wac / default.aspx?cite=246-935
Our generous compensation package begins after 90 days. Most of these benefits are only available to those who work at least 30 hours a week (which is considered full time). It includes medical, vision, dental, life insurance, continuing education, uniforms, excellent pet care discounts, license reimbursement, paid time off and holidays. We also offer retirement with company match.
Starting hourly compensation ranges from $28.00 to $36.00, based on level of experience.
A successful employee will be one who wants to play an active role in patient care and has good problem-solving and interpersonal skills both with clients and fellow staff.
If you are a veterinary technician who is licensed in Washington and would like to join us, please respond with a cover letter so we can learn a little more about you.
