This role provides CVICU rounding and call coverage one weekend per month, with 24-hour non-restrictive call FridayMonday and a 30-minute recall (hotel available). Duties include consults in the ED, ICU, and CV cases, with CT consults routed to the CVT PA. The position supports one surgeon and two APPs, averages 8 patients daily, uses Epic EMR, and covers mostly cardiovascular cases, as emergent thoracic cases are rare. Locum coverage is needed due to two APP vacancies while recruiting permanent staff.
