Job Title : Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Position Summary : The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides emergency medical care to sick or injured persons, ensuring proper treatment and arranging for transport to a medical facility when necessary. The EMT evaluates the nature and extent of the illness or injury and determines the appropriate course of medical action, based on the victim's statements, physical examination, and adherence to established emergency medical procedures.

Key responsibilities include :

• Administering medical treatment at the scene of an emergency, including applying splints, providing CPR, administering oxygen, treating minor wounds, and offering patient status updates to receiving medical personnel.
• Documenting and reporting all medical incidents as directed by the site Emergency Response Plan.
• Ensuring the safety and security of the General Motors facility by controlling access, screening visitors and employees, and monitoring entrances, exits, and parking.
• Conducting foot or vehicle patrols, inspecting high-risk areas, fire safety equipment, and ensuring the accessibility of emergency exits.
• Securing the scene of incidents or emergencies to preserve evidence, setting up barriers and signage, and providing information or direction to others as needed.
• Responding to various emergency situations, including fire, medical incidents, hazardous materials, and inclement weather, in alignment with General Motors Global Security standards.
