Sanitation Technician
We are seeking a dedicated Sanitation Technician to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our production facility, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of production equipment, floors, walls, and other facility areas.
- Follow established sanitation procedures and schedules, including pre-operational and post-operational cleaning.
- Mix and handle cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with safety data sheets.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and chemical usage.
- Inspect cleaned areas to ensure compliance with food safety standards such as USDA, FDA, and GMP.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Production teams to address sanitation-related issues.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Essential Skills
Knowledge of cleaning, chemical handling, and sanitation practices.Familiarity with standard operating procedures (SOP) and HACCP principles.Experience in food production or food manufacturing.Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices (GMP, HACCP).Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Previous experience in sanitation or food manufacturing is a plus.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Office, etc.).Ability to speak, read, and write English.Comfortable working in an environment that handles allergenic materials such as milk, soy, eggs, wheat, peanuts, and tree nuts.Work Environment
This position has two openings and involves working Monday to Friday from 4 : 30 pm to 3 : 00 am with 10-hour shifts. Ten hours of overtime per week are required as the production demands have increased. The work environment is fast-paced and requires handling allergenic materials. The schedule is guaranteed through the end of the year, with the possibility of change depending on corporate requirements. The dress code includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 / hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Saint Paul, MN.
