American Express' Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFCC) team is responsible for leading the enterprise-wide Anti-Money Laundering, Sanctions, and Anti-Corruption compliance functions. This team has global responsibility for identifying, investigating, and reporting suspicious activity, including money laundering and terrorist financing, and provides broad analytical and operational support for the company's enterprise-wide AML function. The GFCC Risk Management Team is responsible for risk management and program health monitoring, and facilitates alignment across GFCC and broader stakeholder teams in managing and overseeing the financial crimes compliance programs that it owns, which include GFCC metrics and reporting, risk and control self-assessments ("RCSAs"), the Customer Risk Rating ("CRR"), Money Laundering Risk Assessment ("MLRA"), and business ownership of the platform capabilities that support the CRR and Enhanced Due Diligence ("EDD") programs.
Role of Manager, GFCC Reporting Team
As GFCC embarks on a modernization journey to enhance its platform capabilities, as enterprise risk management frameworks continue to evolve, and as the expectations of our regulators continue to grow, we need to ensure that our Financial Crimes Program continues to be efficient, effective, and transparent globally.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing reports, performance metrics, and risk metrics for the Financial Crimes Program and uplifting related reporting capabilities. Reporting to the Director of GFCC Reporting & Controls, the successful candidate will play a strategically important role by partnering with all GFCC process owners, product, and technology teams to provide visibility and oversight over critical operational processes. They will help to prepare key reports, deliver related automation enhancements, and uplift and expand reporting capabilities by driving data and technology enhancements.
