Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are a leading MEP firm seeking a skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing mechanical systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with all applicable standards and regulations. This role requires strong communication skills to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client needs. We work in a variety of industries but the bulk of our work is municipal and medical. This position is hybrid in Plano, TX - You will be required to be onsite five days a week for a ramp up period in the beginning (1-3 months depending on your experience), but after that, we are flexible with which 1-2 days you want to work from home!

Key Responsibilities

  • Design HVAC systems for new and existing buildings and facilities.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Revit for creating detailed design drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct load calculations and system analysis to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Prepare specifications, and supporting construction activities while serving as the main client contact throughout all project phases
  • Ensures compliance with client contractual requirements, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • 8+ yrs Mechanical Design experience (preferably with a MEP firm).
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software. (Train Trace)
  • Knowledge of codes and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Hydronic design a plus
  • PE license is a plus.
