Salary based on experience and qualifications : $17.94 - $18.50 per hour (.75 fte)

Responsibilities :

The job of the Administrative Assistant I is to ensure the smooth operation of the Regional Mathematics Center for Region II (RMC). They help to maintain the budget, process forms, maintain files, and maintain the office. They utilize word processing equipment and / or computers to create, process, and maintain a variety of documents and administrative records. The Administrative Assistant I is a contact for regional K-12 teachers and administrators, responds to questions related to the RMC, and maintains the RMC lending library. They work closely with the RMC Director and the Regional Mathematics Specialists. The role also involves providing support services, maintaining statistics / data, analyzing data, and assisting with reports. This position also includes video editing (depending on ability), newsletter creation and / or editing, and collaborating with the RMC staff. This position acts as a liaison between the RMC and external customers. The job requires strong organizational skills, communication skills, and attention to detail.

Additional duties include direct and indirect activities to support the recruitment and retention of students.
