Job Description

Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapy professional specializing in school settings. This role involves providing therapeutic services to high school students, supporting their occupational development and educational needs.

Location : San Luis, AZ

Assignment Duration : Contract for the current school year (CSY)

Start Date : ASAP

End Date : End of School Year (EOSY)

Weekly Hours : 37.5

Responsibilities :

  • Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to students in grades 9 through 12, ages typically ranging from 14 to 18 years.
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 140 students, collaborating with an assistant Occupational Therapist and a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve students functional performance and participation in school activities.
  • Perform evaluations, progress monitoring, and documentation consistent with best practices and regulatory guidelines.
  • Work closely with school staff, families, and other professionals to support students educational goals and well-being.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Valid Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license specific to school-based practice.
  • Experience working in a school environment with adolescent populations (grades 9-12).
  • Ability to manage a high caseload efficiently with support from therapy team members.
  • Strong munication and collaboration skills for working with students, educators, and families.
