About this Position

The selected candidate will be an integral member of our research team, primarily responsible for the execution, maintenance, and improvement of computational pipelines used for high-throughput comparison and analysis of genomic data. This is a dry-lab position focused on leveraging bioinformatics tools and workflows to facilitate genomic research and discovery.

Will run and maintain computational pipelines for high-throughput comparison of genomes, as well as keeping up-to-date local copies of databases (., GenBank). Bioinformatics experience is necessary, as well as knowledge of basic molecular biology. This position is for an enthusiastic person with a passion for applying computational methods to biological problems. Successful candidates will provide assistance to systems biology work in the Physiological Sciences, College of Veterinary of Medicine at OSU.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's

Five years of laboratory research experience -or- a master’s degree and two years of demonstrated laboratory experience
