Responsible for data management integrity and reporting for all Electronic Health Records and Practice Management data systems. This individual will support and maintain various data reporting systems. The Clinical Data Analyst will provide technical, operational and end-user support and is responsible for data collection, integrity and analysis, reporting integrity and analysis, and management of practice related information, including demographic, clinical, statistical and financial data. This position works closely and collaborates with the Business Development Manager and VP of Finance to ensure that practice management software is configured optimally and maintained on a current basis, and to improve and optimize data capture and related billing, reporting and benchmarking activities. The position will also assist in day-to-day administration and support of the related software maintenance and upgrades on an ongoing basis and participate in upgrades and new project role outs on an as needed basis.
Essential Functions :
- Compiles & distributes data for information needed, such as, but not limited to, the weekly and monthly dashboard & statistic reports
- Help train users to learn basic report functions of the various practice management data systems to allow users to capture and enter information, run standard reports, create and run their own reports as necessary and ensure consistent and uniform data collection and data entry practices.
- Develop and maintain practice management information reports, analyzing critical metrics and benchmarks across all offices, including monthly patient encounter statistics and productivity per hour; provide, and develop where necessary, reports required by relevant. Work with each department to provide critical data to help meet all affiliate goals.
- Manages the data collections, and reporting such as, but not limited to daily tracking performance tracking, and biannual provider score cards
- Ensure all data entry processes are consistent with established standards, procedures, as well as providing data integrity management and monitoring all clinical and financial data entered in the various clinical information systems in use
- Assists leadership in review, analysis and workflows for data collection to recommend process redesign and system set-up improvements, where possible.
- Develop tools to help monitor and analyze data to ensure accurate and consistent data capture and reporting, leading to improved charge coding, claims billing and optimal collection of all clinical quality data; create documentation to support enhancements and to serve as reference material for affiliate and administrative staff.
- Assure all reporting remains in compliance with all regulatory agencies.
- Assists in maintaining and updating the practice management system, as necessary, for changes in CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, charge and billing methodologies, agency rates and fees, provider demographics and information, etc., and for all other practice-related matters.
- Collects data from GPS’ billing software for internal and external audits. This can include reports for all regulatory audits.
- Serve on affiliate work groups, committees and task forces.
- Remain abreast of trends and developments in the field of practice management and reporting.
Non-Essential Functions :
Participate in relevant practice management software User groups.Regularly checks personal GPS email account for important company-related communications, at least every 24 hours.Qualifications :
Experience, Education and Licensure
Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management or related field, minimum 3-5 years applicable experience with a minimum two years related experience in healthcare.RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) preferred.Excellent computer skills including strong knowledge of MS Excel, Fabric, Power BI and Access and report writing tools and practice management programs.Experience with Cognos reporting tools preferredExcellent organizational, analytical, writing and communication skills.Works well under time restraints and deadlines.Ability to work effectively in a team setting.Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.Cultural Awareness :
