A Day in the Life

As a Senior Finance Program Manager within Product Innovation, you'll be the finance lead for a designated set of insulin technology, pump, CGM, software programs and owning OPEX, CAPEX, and full-lifecycle business cases from concept through post-launch. Aligned to these high-priority initiatives, you'll collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain to optimize capital allocation, safeguard margins, and ensure every invested dollar delivers maximum value to the business and our patients. This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronic's Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential, enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care. This role requires you to work on-site at our Northridge, CA office at least 3 days per week. This on-site presence is vital for collaboration and maintaining strong team connections.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full financial pictureOPEX, CAPEX, lifetime P&L, NPV / IRR, and unit economicsfor each of your programs.
• Build, manage, and analyze program-level business case financials for phase-gate and portfolio reviews.
• Create the annual budget, long-range plan, rolling forecasts and lead risk / opportunity assessments.
• Track, monitor, and manage spend and headcount, provide real-time variance analysis, and drive corrective-action planning with project managers.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analyses and special projects as assigned.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD) : $144,000.00 - $216,000.00 This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification / education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
