Nursing Assistant
Summary This Nursing Assistant position is in Nursing, In-patient Mental Health services at the Providence VA Medical Center, located at the Providence, Rhode Island, location. It is a permanent position at 32 hours per week.
Responsibilities The Nursing Assistant is an integral part of the care team in providing care to veterans at the Providence VA Healthcare System. They are responsible for the delivery of patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse, Advance Practice Nurse / Physician Assistant, or Physician. Duties include, but are not limited to :
Work Schedule : 3 : 30pm to 12 : 00am, every other weekend, every other holiday, 32 hours per week

Pay : Competitive salary and regular salary increases.
Parental Leave : After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child.
Child Care Subsidy : After 60 days of employment, full-time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
Retirement : Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA.
