Job Title : Molding Technician

Job Overview :
The Molding Technician is responsible for operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining molding machines used in the production of plastic, rubber, or metal components. This role ensures products meet quality standards while maintaining optimal machine performance and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and monitor injection molding, blow molding, or compression molding machines.
Perform mold changes, machine adjustments, and equipment setups as per production schedules.
Troubleshoot machine issues, perform minor repairs, and escalate technical problems when necessary.
Inspect parts visually and using measurement tools to ensure they meet quality and specification standards.
Document production data, machine settings, cycle times, and material usage accurately.
Perform routine preventive maintenance on molds, machines, and related equipment.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the molding area according to safety and 5S standards.
Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to improve processes and reduce scrap.
Follow all safety procedures and report any hazards or incidents promptly.
Train or guide junior operators when required.
Qualifications
High school diploma or technical / vocational training required.
1 3 years of experience as a molding technician or machine operator (injection molding preferred).
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of molding machinery.
Ability to read technical drawings, work instructions, and measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
Basic knowledge of plastics processing, mold setup, and troubleshooting techniques.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with minimal supervision.
Willingness to work shifts or overtime as needed.
Key Roles :
Prior Experience on Medical products Should be good in Injections molding machines with Hot runner system
Focus on the maintenance and repair of molds and tooling to ensure minimal downtime.
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to extend tool life.
Coordinate with production and engineering teams to address any tooling-related maintenance issues promptly.
Good Communication skills

Good to have basic Injection Molding machine operator skills
