About The Position

We are seeking a Locums

Emergency General Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) to support a high-volume

surgical service in Asheville, North Carolina. This is a daytime, non-operative

role ideal for an experienced PA with a background in acute care surgery.

This is primarily a

non-operative role.

Schedule :

• Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities available
• Choose between Three 12-hour shifts or Four 10-hour shifts per week

Shifts run Monday through Thursday, 7 : 00

AM – 5 : 00 PM (for 10s) or adjusted per 12-hour format

Clinical Responsibilities :

Round on pre-operative and

post-operative floor patients

Assist with new surgical consults and

coordinate patient care

Collaborate closely with surgical

attendings and residents

May participate in post-operative

outpatient clinic visits

Manage a wide range of acute surgical

conditions, including :

Qualifications :

Experience in acute surgical care and

familiarity with emergency general surgery conditions preferred

Ability to work autonomously and

collaboratively in a team-based setting

Current North Carolina license and DEA (or

ability to obtain)

ACLS / BLS certification preferred
