Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in California requiring a CA RN license and ACLS / BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an acute care Cardiac Cath Lab with 3 suites
  • Includes both Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) cases, averaging 10 cases per day
  • Use of Cerner EMR and Mac Lab equipment
  • Shifts are 12 hours, primarily 6a-6p with other AM, Mid, and PM shifts available
  • On-call required : 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month with a response time under 30 minutes
  • Every other weekend coverage required
  • Scrubs provided
  • Tele and vents present in unit
  • No floating required
  • Provide skilled nursing care in both Cath Lab and IR environments
  • Participate in shared holiday coverage with staff
  • Unit supported by charge nurse and 10 Cath Lab / IR techs
  • RT and vascular access team available 24 / 7
  • Floor-specific orientation provided
  • Scrub attire is provided by the facility
  • First-time travelers will be considered for this position

    • Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications from AHA required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience
  • Experience using Cerner EMR preferred
  • Two professional references required : one Supervisor reference from the past 12 months and one Peer or Supervisor reference from the past 3 years
  • Copy of valid driver’s license required
  • Candidates must not have been employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity in the past year
