Application and other required documents are submitted and that constitutes 70% of the score.

One additional point is added to the 70% for each year of Police Officer experience.

Additional points are added if they qualify for Veteran's Preference points under RCW 41.04.010.

Candidates are ranked on the eligible list, certified by the Commission, and notified of their ranking on the eligible list.
