Job descriptionBA in Mining, Operations Management, or Project Management (Related Field). Or 3-5 years of relevant experience 3+ years in a managerial position in a unionized, rock mining environment Working knowledge of all quarry operations including; Mining, Blasting, Maintenance, planning, and Fleet Management Certificates : MSHA part 46, First Aid, CPR, AED
The successful candidate will be located in Northern Michigan, with a background in Aggregate Operations Management. This candidate will be responsible for 3 production facilities across Northern Michigan and Canada, driving operation efficiency, productivity, and overall employee management.
Responsibilities
- Safety, efficiency, maintenance, budgets / finances and planning
- Work directly with Quarry and Plant Managers to ensure sufficient operation and employee relations
- 3 quarries, each producing 3 million+ TPY with 50-60% travel via Car
- Regular communication with internal / external customers and company stakeholders to ensure expectations are met / exceeded
