Job descriptionGenerally home on Fridays and out on Mondays Minimum of 2 weeks out, but could average 3 weeks If out for three weeks, three days home Will be required to reset while on the road, 34 hours Dispatch is based on freight availability and location Flexible home time- we'll do our best to accommodate your preferred time off and home days Drivers can expect to log 70 hours in 8 days Dispatches and start / delivery times are received the prior day and assigned to drivers Transport portable storage units to storage centers or hub facilities Secure and strap down containers and storage units Destination site personnel will unload and reload portable storage Pick up and deliver across the 48 contiguous states (no NYC deliveries), may not deliver in all states but will travel through This is an assigned sleeper position $18 / hour while operating a forklift to seldom load and unload (training provided) Paid time off including 8 paid holidays Health Insurance : Medical, dental, vision and hearing coverage starting as low as $38.25 / week (individual) and $101.10 / week (family) after 30 days Rider policy for legally married spouses Profit Sharing : Monthly direct deposits into your retirement account Referral rewards : Cash bonuses for referrals Career Growth : Opportunities for local, regional, and leadership roles within Averitt Must live within a 100-mile radius Minimum of 1-year verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the past 3 years Must have a Class A CDL Must be 21 years of age No convictions for reckless driving within the past 5 years No convictions for DUI or DWI within the past 5 years No suspensions or revocations for a moving violation within the past 5 years No serious violations within the previous 12 months (15 mph or greater, following too closely, improper passing, traffic offense committed in a CMV in connection with a fatality) No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years No preventable DOT recordable accidents within the past 3 years Lift and move side kits -lift requirements : 46 lbs Secure load with chains and hardware - lift requirements : 80 lbs Climb onto and off the flatbed trailer / load Count freight Complete fuel tickets Complete delivery receipt Hook / Unhook trailer - force requirement : 90 lbs Perform pre-trip inspections Drive Extensive travel - ability to sit upright for extended periods of time. Regular predictable attendance
