Position Summary :

The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care services to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies. This role involves working under the direction of a physician to administer treatments, manage equipment, and monitor patient progress. Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, patient, and compassionate professional with strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities :

Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders, from chronic conditions to acute issues.

Administer therapeutic gases and aerosol medications.

Manage and monitor mechanical ventilators and other life-support equipment.

Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity and analyzing blood gases.

Provide patient and family education on respiratory conditions, treatments, and equipment use.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and nurses, to develop and implement patient treatment plans.

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Assist in patient transport and respond to all code situations.

Qualifications :

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.

Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).

Current state licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).

Current CPR certification.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a physically demanding role.
