Float Pool Registered Nurse - ED Boarding, Med / Surg, ICU - Night Shift
Why Join Our Internal Float Pool? This night shift role provides variety, challenge, and opportunities for growth all within a single hospital setting. You will rotate across ED Boarding, Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and ICU support units, gaining diverse experiences and expanding your clinical skills.

Become part of our Internal Float Pool team and positively impact patient care every day!
Responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care using the nursing process, ensuring safe, therapeutic care in alignment with established standards, policies, and procedures. You will use evidence-based practice and skilled communication to create a safe, effective environment for patient care.
You will assess patient needs, plan and implement individualized care interventions, and evaluate the effectiveness of these interventions, involving patients and families in care planning. Recognizing significant changes in patient conditions, you will take appropriate actions, mobilize resources, and collaborate with healthcare team members for coordinated, patient-centered care.
You are expected to implement strategies that enhance patient safety, assess readiness for learning, and develop tailored educational strategies for patients and families. Coordination of discharge planning will utilize an interdisciplinary approach, applying evidence-based practice in care delivery.
Continuous evaluation of patient, team, and unit outcomes is key, along with engaging in shared governance to improve processes and patient experiences. Effective communication and collaboration skills are essential, as well as a capacity for leadership and appropriate delegation.
Promote a safety culture by identifying and intervening against patient safety threats and reporting events timely. Your ethical decision-making will be integral in fostering respectful, unbiased care coordination.
Participation in quality improvement initiatives is expected, contributing to departmental efficiency and the overall patient care experience. Also, engage in personal professional development through attendance at meetings and educational programs and completing annual competencies.
Licenses & Certifications : Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Degrees : Completion of an accredited nursing program.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Holistic patient care, recognizing situations requiring timely interventions, proficient computer skills, and excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are paramount.
