Water Resources Engineer Intern - I0019

Felsburg Holt & Ullevig (FHU) is seeking a motivated Water Resources Engineering Intern to join our Omaha, NE or Lincoln, NE office. This position offers the chance to gain hands-on experience in a variety of water resources projects, from supporting hydrology and hydraulics for transportation projects to contributing to stream restoration, floodplain analysis, and stormwater systems.

What You’ll Do

As an intern, you will work closely with experienced engineers to :

• Assist with analysis and design for drainage projects, including hydrology, hydraulics, and floodplain modeling.
• Support stormwater quality projects through the design of green infrastructure, erosion and sediment control measures, and compliance documentation.
• Participate in data collection, technical analyses, and report preparation.
• Use engineering design software to help prepare plans, details, and cost estimates under supervision.
• Contribute to client presentations and meetings in a supporting role.
