This position provides direct primary oral health and preventative oral health care for SVT Health & Wellness Patient Partners in an ambulatory dental clinic within a Community Health Center. Services of complete family dentistry include adult and child dental exams hygiene visits pediatric adult and geriatric dental treatment fillings and crowns root canals extractions and walk-in / emergency exams / treatments.

Duties and Responsibilities
Provide quality cost-effective dental care to patients within scope of training capabilities and licensingDiagnose oral conditions evaluate oral health Interpret x-rays and other diagnostic testsContinue plans and provide treatment.Maintain and update dental charts and records in a timely fashion established by SVTHW policy and procedure.Maintain current Alaska licensing as a Dentist and unrestricted DEA licensing.Actively promote Seldovia Village Tribes services and programs.Other duties as assignedSpecifications

Education : DDS or DMD - Required from a dental school accredited by the commission of Dental Accreditation of the ADA
Experience :
1-3Years experience practicing dentistryKnowledge and experience working with underserved populations of people preferredExperience working with pediatric patients strongly preferredCertifications / Licensure :
Valid State of Alaska Dental license. If unlicensed in Alaska must be able to obtain State License within 6 months of date of hire (except for Contractor arrangements which MUST be currently licensed in Alaska.)DEA LicenseCPR / BLS Provided by SVTComputer Skills :
Proficiency in Mac PC and Microsoft Office Products required.Electronic Health Record experience required.Travel Requirements :
Travel to Seldovia on a small plane or boat is required. Travel is subject to inclement weather.Employment Requirements :
