About the Role

Our client is seeking a Senior Backend & Infrastructure Engineer to lead scalable backend development and cloud architecture. This role is ideal for an experienced Python engineer with FastAPI expertise, strong AWS knowledge, and a passion for building secure, high-performance systems that integrate seamlessly with modern DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Development : Build and maintain scalable FastAPI-based APIs, design efficient PostgreSQL schemas, and implement event-driven architectures with Redis, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
• Infrastructure : Manage AWS architectures (VPC, ECS / EKS, Route 53, Cloudflare) and support multi-region deployments for high availability.
• Security & Compliance : Enforce HIPAA standards, manage IAM, implement secure authentication (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT), and apply Zero Trust principles.
• DevOps & Automation : Develop CI / CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), define IaC with Terraform / CloudFormation, and automate containerized workloads.
• Monitoring & Reliability : Set up observability practices, log aggregation, distributed tracing, and multi-region monitoring with automated alerts.
