Job Description & Requirements Specialty : NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Discipline : RN Start Date : 12 / 22 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days Employment Type : Travel 456025 Job Summary As part of the interdisciplinary care team, the NICU Registered Nurse provides high-quality, evidence-based nursing care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN supports fragile neonates, collaborates with the healthcare team, and contributes to safe, compassionate, family-centered care. Unit Details Unit : NICU Beds : 42 Ratios : 1 : 2 or 1 : 3 Common Therapies : Vasopressors, sedation, glucose administration Patient Types : Premature infants, respiratory distress / failure, hypoglycemia, and other high-acuity neonatal conditions Possible Float Areas : General Pediatrics and PICU Schedule Every 3rd weekend required Standard NICU holiday rotation No on-call requirements noted Experience Requirements Minimum 2 years NICU RN experience Will consider first-time travelers Required Certifications & Licensure Active Iowa RN License (required prior to start) BLS (AHA) NRP Dependent / Child Abuse certifications (can be completed during onboarding) Education Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Notes Same-day clinical interviews may occur (phone / text may come from a 405 area code ) May occasionally float to Pediatrics or PICU as needed EMR : Epic About Olaro Olaro Company Description Olaro is a trusted partner in healthcare staffing, connecting nurses and allied health professionals with opportunities nationwide.
