Service Manager

Supervises and coordinates the activities of employees or performs the work of all job levels.
Core competencies include partnerships, growth mindset, results oriented, customer focused, and professionalism. Reporting relations include accountability and reporting to the District Store Director, Store Manager, and Assistant Managers of HWH, Perishables, Store Operations, and eCommerce.
Primary duties and responsibilities include maintaining a positive attitude, generating a friendly atmosphere, providing prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service, planning and adjusting work schedules, supervising and coordinating activities of employees, and ensuring proper customer service throughout the store. Additionally, this role involves training and enforcing safety procedures, compiling and understanding managerial data, ordering merchandise, and ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
Secondary duties and responsibilities include determining the motivational needs of employees, staying current with market trends, providing continuous education for store employees, selling merchandise, handling cash registers, recommending cost reduction programs, and assisting in other areas of the store as needed.
Knowledge, skills, abilities, and worker characteristics include problem-solving, arithmetic calculations, interviewing, and following technical manuals. Education and experience requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and two or more years of similar or related work experience. Supervisory responsibilities include instructing, assigning work, reviewing work, planning the work of others, maintaining standards, allocating personnel, and coordinating the activities of others.
Physical requirements include the ability to perform medium work, visual requirements, and various physical activities. Working conditions include exposure to dust, noise, temperature extremes, equipment movement hazards, electrical shock, and chemicals. This position is also exposed to confidential information.
