Our client, a growing company in the retail and real estate development sector , is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive strategic expansion and strengthen partnerships with developers and brokers. This position is ideal for a motivated individual with strong communication, analytical, and project management skills who enjoys collaborating across departments to execute new site development and brand growth initiatives.
Position Summary
The Business Development Manager will build and manage relationships with real estate partners and brokers to support the company's expansion strategy. This role involves market research, coordination of site development, report preparation, scheduling, and partner negotiations . The successful candidate will act as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth real estate operations and effective information flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and strategize key prospective sites, including floor plans, occupancy data, and growth projections.
- Develop and maintain relationships with developers and brokers to support expansion initiatives.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and meeting materials for development and business strategy sessions.
- Attend meetings, events, and business trips to build and strengthen relationships with real estate partners.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments such as Construction, Compliance, Mechanics, and Accounting throughout the store development process.
- Facilitate communication and coordination among vendors, executive management, and other key stakeholders.
- Support all activities related to real estate and development, including change orders, procurement, project tracking, and scheduling.
Additional Responsibilities
Handle general administrative tasks such as mail distribution, document preparation, and filing.Take meeting notes and prepare minutes.Arrange accommodations and travel logistics for business visitors.Contribute to team collaboration and a positive work environment.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience in store development or construction management accepted in lieu of degree.Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction, real estate development, or related fields-preferably in retail or hospitality industries.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.Strong customer service and relationship management abilities.Skills & Knowledge
Ability to understand and interpret numerical data such as budgets and spreadsheets.General knowledge of construction processes, building permits, and store opening procedures.Strong project coordination and time management skills.Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities effectively.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Job Details
