Description
Overview / Function : The role provides miscellaneous support to the warehouse team, truck maintenance shop, and building and grounds maintenance.
Major Responsibilities :
- Work with the warehouse and delivery teams to coordinate trailer movement in order to maximize daily dock allocation.
- Conduct daily checks of trailers for raw materials and full goods. Assess trailers which need to be relocated or loaded.
- Wash Atlantic truck and trailer fleet.
- Properly store inactive trailers and ensure all trailers brought to the docks have their wheels chocked.
- Maintain proper order of customer pick up trailers brought to the docks. Ensure a complete and accurate list of trailers.
- Follow all company safety regulations, policies and standards in addition to all DOT laws.
- Execute with great care when utilizing company vehicles and equipment.
- Maintain company grounds (pick up trash, leaf removal, and snow removal)
- Housekeeping Responsibilities (cleaning, organizing).
- Help with the removal of recycling materials and trash (loading trucks and hauling).
- Report problems or damages that occur.
- Other duties as required.
- Fork-Lift operation, including the loading and unloading of trailers.
Qualifications
Experience & Qualifications :
High school diploma / GED. (Equivalent experience will be considered.)No greater than 2 moving violations, and no OWIs in the last five yearsClass A CDL with air brakes is required.Excellent customer service communication skills in order to interact with customers. Must provide professional contact and appearance with vendors / customers which upholds Atlantic Bottlings brand image.Ability to read and follow directions and work orders.Ability to follow all safety requirements / protocols.Customer-focused and an excellent team-player who is flexible and willing to adapt to varying situations.Some light computer experience is helpful.Regular, consistent attendance is an essential job function.Additional :
The role will travel to various vendor sites (i.e. redemption or recycling centers); each environment will differ as a result.This position is very active and requires the employee to stay alert and focused while driving. They will frequently lift and / or move items up to 55 lbs. (Moving equipment and tools will be provided to reduce strains and injury.)Standing, walking, twisting, grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, sitting, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing will be required.
