Lead Relay Technician

Job Description

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking experienced Relay Test Technicians to join field teams supporting electric utility projects throughout the Northeast Region.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, inspect, calibrate, and repair system protection devices and related substation equipment including :
• Microprocessor-based and electromechanical relays
• Protective controls
• Transducers
• Switchboards
• Electric transmission and distribution systems

Interpret and work from construction and manufacturer’s drawings, specifications, and schematic diagrams.

Perform relay testing and setting verification using relay test sets.

Utilize relevant software tools such as Doble Protest, SEL AcSELerator, and ENOSERVE RTS (preferred).

Operate computers and applications necessary for commissioning tasks and documentation.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues independently in a timely and safe manner.

Maintain strong documentation practices and communication with internal teams and clients.

Travel to project sites across the region and work in a field-based capacity 100% of the time.
