Job Title : Shift Welder

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Shift Welder to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, selecting appropriate welding equipment, and performing welding tasks in various positions. You will work in a large, well-ventilated factory environment alongside other skilled professionals.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts and procedures.
• Select appropriate welding equipment or methods based on requirements.
• Set up components according to specifications.
• Prepare parts for welding using tools such as angle grinders.
• Align and clamp components using measuring tools like tape measures and rulers.
• Perform welding in various positions including vertical, horizontal, and overhead.
• Repair machinery and components by welding and filling gaps.
• Inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify defects or inconsistencies.
• Maintain equipment in a safe and functional condition.

Work Environment

Work in a large open factory / plant floor with dim lighting due to the welding stations. The facility is equipped with large overhead cranes and each welding station offers ample space for grinding. The building is well-ventilated to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LAKE CRYSTAL, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00 / hr.
