We are seeking a highly motivatedSenior Systems Engineer to lead requirements definition, system architecture, and technical execution across our spacecraft platforms. In this role, you will manage system and subsystem requirements, lead trade studies and design reviews, and act as a key technical interface across internal teams, customers, and partners. You will have the opportunity to influence the design of next-generation spacecraft while ensuring technical excellence from concept through delivery.

This role requires strong systems engineering expertise, experience with spacecraft subsystems (including propulsion), and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment balancing technical rigor with rapid execution. This role requires candidate to be on-site at our Hawthorne, CA, location.

Where Youll Make an Impact

• Own and manage system and subsystem requirements from concept through flight delivery.
• Lead trade studies, system architecture development, and mission applications for spacecraft and propulsion systems.
• Perform system-level design, analysis, and verification activities across mechanical, electrical, fluids, and software subsystems.
• Lead and participate in internal and external design reviews, ensuring requirements and design maturity.
• Act as a technical interface with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, program management) and external partners (customers, subcontractors).
• Implement and maintain rigorous verification and validation processes for both hardware and software.
• Support spacecraft assembly, integration, and test activities, including environmental and functional testing.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvements that enhance execution speed and reliability.
