primary and backup storage environments.

Role Summary

The VP of Engineering will be responsible for building and scaling an engineering organization that excels at

process discipline, operational efficiency, and predictable execution. This leader will implement the

frameworks, practices, and delivery models that allow Index Engines to consistently ship secure, high-quality,

and enterprise-ready products at speed. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role requires a hands-on operator

who can translate strategic goals into execution, foster accountability across engineering, and drive

continuous improvement in how we design, build, and deliver software.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and refine engineering processes that ensure efficiency, repeatability, and on-time delivery across development, QA, DevOps, and architecture.
• Drive executional excellence through structured planning, clear prioritization, and proactive riskmanagement in product delivery.
• Champion engineering efficiency by introducing tooling, automation, and workflow optimizations thatremove bottlenecks and reduce waste.
• Partner with Product Management to tightly align engineering commitments with roadmap priorities,ensuring delivery against business outcomes.
• Embed a culture of accountability and transparency, using data-driven reporting to inform leadershipand stakeholders.
• Lead architectural and technology decisions to balance innovation with execution predictability andscale.
• Foster a DevSecOps culture with CI / CD at the core, ensuring high-velocity delivery without sacrificingsecurity or reliability.
• Build and mentor a high-performing engineering leadership team, developing managers who can driveprocess adherence and team productivity.
• Oversee budgets, resource allocation, and vendor management with a focus on operational efficiency.
