Job description

Maintenance Technician

What you will do - Ensure all facilities and equipment are properly maintained and in good, safe working order

  • Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on various manufacturing equipment (including but not limited to mechanical and hydraulic forging presses to to 2500T, combustion furnaces, CNC saws, shot blast, and auxiliary equipment)
  • Perform necessary preventative maintenance in line with the maintenance schedule and procedures
  • Maintain documentation of preventative maintenance, equipment repair, part usages and other projects
  • Communication and documentation of daily breakdowns and planned repairs
  • Troubleshooting of complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Troubleshooting of complex electrical servo and drive systems
  • Accountable for entering data into maintenance system timely and accurately
  • Other duties as assigned

What you will bring

  • 2-3 years experience in machine repair and troubleshooting environment
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical drive systems
  • Basic mechanical, welding and cutting skills
  • Should be capable of reaching / interpreting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic an pneumatic prints / schematics
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Have basic computer skills
  • Meter usage and ability to complete measurements
  • Understanding and adherence to LOTO and safe work practices

    • Work Environment

    Location-The Maintenance Technician role is based on site at our Columbus facility

  • Physical Demand-May be required to lift moderately heavy automotive components up to 15 pounds
  • Schedules Available-Third Shift S-Th 11 : 00 PM - 7 : 15 AM, Weekend Shift B F-S 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM, some overtime or weekends may be necessary

  • Heavy Equipment Repair
  • Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills
  • Journeyman’s License
  • Electrical Troubleshooting
  • Electrical Repair
  • Pneumatics Troubleshooting
  • Maintenance and Repair Skills

  • Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) (Fanuc, Siemens, Schneider Electric)
