An open & affirming church near Milford, CT is seeking a Part-Time Office Administrator to support day-to-day operations and serve as a key administrative point of contact. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a flexible schedule and a welcoming, inclusive work environment.
Schedule & Pay
- 15 hours per week
- $20–25 per hour, based on experience
Position Overview
The Office Administrator provides administrative, communication, and light financial support to church leadership, staff, and committees. This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and comfort working in a small, community-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer phones, manage email inbox, and route messages
- Prepare weekly bulletins, newsletters, and church communications (Microsoft Word)
- Maintain master building calendars and coordinate space usage
- Update and manage the church website (WordPress) and social media platforms
- Maintain membership records and assist with online giving systems
- Support basic financial tasks including deposits, donation acknowledgements, and giving statements
- Order office and facility supplies; coordinate vendors and service providers
- Maintain files, records, and general office operations
- Provide administrative support to the Pastor, Treasurer, and church committees
Qualifications
- Prior experience in office administration or administrative support
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and general office technology
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities independently
- Experience with WordPress, social media, or church management software is a plus
