Description : Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Highly Skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This role requires expertise in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and machining systems to support equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and ensure safe, efficient operations. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem solver with strong technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment and facility systems.

Works under the direction of their immediate Supervisor or assigned lead.

A Highly Skilled Maintenance Mechanic shall be able to install, maintains, repairs and / or rebuilds assigned machines and equipment. This should be done in such a manner that it meets the needs of production to achieve their goals. All equipment being repaired will be left in a “safe to operate” condition, or will be left Locked and Tagged out. This would include but not limited to all safeties being intact and operational, as well as guarding in place.

Essential Functions

The Highly Skilled Maintenance Mechanic must be able to perform the following activities as an expert. Their essential duties include, but are not limited to :

• Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on industrial machinery, equipment, and systems, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including motors, drives, control panels, sensors, and wiring.
• Maintain, repair, and fabricate mechanical components using lathes, mills, grinders, and other machining tools as needed.
• Install, inspect, and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Execute scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Ensure all work complies with company safety standards, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve equipment issues quickly and effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment status.
• Assist in equipment upgrades, installations, and continuous improvement projects.
