Job descriptionInteriors Ground-Up Renovation Support Project Managers with submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and project documentation Assist with procurement , subcontract buyout, and maintaining trade relationships Coordinate with field teams on schedule updates and material deliveries Help track budgets, invoices, change orders, and cost reporting Review drawings, specs, and addenda to ensure accurate scope Attend project meetings and maintain clear communication with owners, architects, and subcontractors Support punch list and closeout activities Troubleshoot field / administrative issues proactively 2+ years of construction experience (APM, PE, office engineer, or field engineer roles welcome) Experience with commercial interiors, ground-up, renovation, TI, or similar project types Strong understanding of construction documents, submittals, and RFIs Organizational skills with an ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office (or similar tools) Strong communication and problem-solving skills Bachelor's in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience preferred Real advancement path into a full Project Manager role Strong mentorship from experienced PMs and field leaders Variety of project types across the DMV area Competitive compensation, benefits, and long-term stability Collaborative, people-first culture with low turnover

About the Opportunity
A growing and well-respected General Contractor in the DC–Baltimore region is seeking a Construction Assistant Project Manager to support project teams across multiple commercial projects. This role is perfect for someone looking to grow into a full Project Manager position and wanting hands-on experience with budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and project documentation.
You'll work directly with Project Managers and Superintendents to help ensure projects run smoothly from kickoff through closeout.
