Cataract Surgeon / General Ophthalmologist

Eye Care for the Adirondacks, Plattsburgh, New York. We are looking for a compassionate and skilled comprehensive ophthalmologist (New Grads Welcome) with excellent surgical and clinical skills, to provide care at our multi-specialty eye care group in Northern New York State. Our current professional team consists of 4 ophthalmologists and 4 optometrists with an ASC, and 3 office locations.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base salary : $400,000
• Sign-on bonus based on experience
• Relocation reimbursement : $10,000
• CME : $6,500
• Productivity bonus
• Expected total annual compensation of approximately $600,000 (based on prior productivity data)

Location and Practice Setting

Plattsburgh, NY is located on Lake Champlain in Northern New York, approximately 55 miles from Montreal, with access to international flights, arts, nightlife, and cuisine. The Adirondack region offers outdoor activities, clean air, good schools, low crime, and a low cost of living.

Organization and Scope

Multi-specialty eye care group with ASC; 3 office locations; equipment includes Optos, Zeiss OCTs, Lumenis Selecta Duet YAG / SLT, Zeiss Lumera microscopes, Alcon Centurion Phaco Systems, and more. Onboard retina surgeon available.
